RCornerRanch Butterscotch *M
Butterscotch was the first born of quads (3 doelings and a buckling) from Flora x Leprechaun. She is a first generation Mini Nubian. Her ears are a bit inbetween drop ears and airplane. She has a more Nubian style body build and has a slight Roman bend to her nose. I love her udder, which blossoms every month. It is beautiful. Perfect teats, a strong medial, great udder height and attachment everywhere. I just love this doe’s mammary. She peaked at 8.2 lbs a day as a second freshener and is having a lovely lactation. Her sister made the Top 10 list as a first freshener and milked 9.6 lbs a day as a second freshener. These two does are hoove and hoof looking up at the list for 2025. I am so proud to have made and own these does. She is also a doll to work with. Loves to lick and nuzzle my face while I milk the others. So far, Bubs and Scout have been like dream goats. For my 2024 verification test, Butterscotch was 26 inches tall.

Top 10 Doe 2024
Born second of the 2022 quads, she has airplane ears, a straight nose, and a wide, deep bodied dairy build. Scout is a first generation Mini Nubian out of Flora x Leprechaun. She has proven herself to be an amazing doe. I love working with her daily and am misty eyed she and her littermate sister are my own. Production comes in her line. She peaked at 9.6 lbs a day, her littermate sister peaked at 8.2 lbs a day, her Nigerian half sister (same sire) peaked at 5.0 lbs a day and had a 1000+ lactation as a 2nd freshener. As a first freshener, Scout easily produced enough to earn her star at 179 days in milk and went on to make the TOP 10 LIST for pounds of milk and pounds of butterfat. Her second lactation is going strong! Very exciting!

Officially peaked at 6.3 lbs 24 days in milk. Midway between 24-67 dim, she peaked unofficially at 7.2 lbs when I weighed her milk simulating a milk test at the midway point between tests. I shouldn’t have put off my test so long. She’s did great anyway! Extended lactation: 352 days 1778 lbs milk, 96 lbs butterfat, 69 protein total until dry, milking 4.2 lbs around 305 days in milk in January as a ff. Average bf of 5.2% 305 lactation/5.4% with extended.

Born third of Flora’s four. Peanut has far more Nubian-style ears. They touch her nostrils and are 3/4 drop ears. She has a roman/convex nose a bit too. Her daughters tend to have her Roman nose and longer ears. For my 2024 milk testing verification test, Peanut was 25 inches tall.
