Eggs, Goat Milk, and Garden
Read the categories below to see how and why to buy our eggs, milk, and garden fruits and vegetables.
Buy Eggs
This section is for the eggs you just want to eat. This is separate from hatching eggs and has different prices and careful inspection for egg quality. Please do not use these eggs to hatch. Many are not fertilized and come from lesser quality birds. Thank you! I may offer cartons of one color egg (blue, dark brown, white) for an increased price. Please bring back the carton(s)! Click the button below to see what kind of eggs are available right now and how to buy.
Buy Goat Milk
In Missouri, you can sell RAW goat milk legally by having customers come to the farm to pick it up or by delivering it to them. I cannot sell pasteurized milk without things getting complicated. Whatever you do with the milk is up to you! I try my best to keep things sanitary. It starts with a swept milking room or milking area, cleaned teats, and a milking machine instead of hand milking into a pail. The goats are milked using a machine which is sterilized after every milking, and all the parts are deep cleaned once a week. This machine (Bessie’s her name) pumps the milk from the goat into a filter and into a sterilized glass jar. I finish the milking off hand milking into the machine teat cups. Milk is refrigerated promptly. Please consume the milk within 7 days. Milk is only farm pick up at this time.
You can make some great homemade caramels from goat milk. Goat milk is more commonly drunk around the world than most people know. It makes for a rich, nutty caramel. You can also make caramel sauce, goat milk soap, and a more interesting cup of hot chocolate. Goat milk is more easily digested by animals and humans because it has smaller fat molecules and different lactose than cow milk. It is also higher in protein and fat compared to most other milk. Enjoy!
Buy Garden Produce
Produce is available seasonally if the garden goes well. I will post what is available or will be available under the produce section. I expect to have Honeycomb Hybrid tomatoes, a variety of peppers, okra, pumpkins, turnips, and herbs. I may also pick wild gooseberries and black berries which would make an excellent jam. Black raspberries by themselves are great straight from the vine, but I may save those for myself!
