Mini Nubian Does

RCornerRanch Butterscotch

Butterscotch was the first born of quads (3 doelings and a buckling) from Flora. It seems to be a great sign for my Mini Nubian breeding program. She is a first generation Mini Nubian. Her ears are a bit inbetween drop ears and airplane. She has a more Nubian style body build. She appears to have a straight nose with a slight Roman bend. I love her udder. It is beautiful. Perfect teats, a strong medial, great udder height and rear attachment. I think her fore udder will really shine in a freshening or two. I just love this doe’s mammary. She is also a doll. Loves to lick and nuzzle my face while I milk the others. So far, Bubby’s been a like a dream goat. Just need a bit more milk as a second freshener, pretty please! I’m hoping she will shine bright in 2025, though she should earn her star in one more test for her first freshening 2024 lactation. For my 2024 verification test, Butterscotch was 26 inches tall. Still producing 3.6 lbs a day nearly 9 months in milk as a first freshener.

RCornerRanch Scout

Born second of the 2022 quads, Scout has a more curious and outgoing personality. She has airplane ears, a straight nose, and a dairy build. Scout is a first generation Mini Nubian out of Flora x Lep. Her Nigerian half sister (same sire) peaked at 5.0 lbs her second freshening. Scout has also taken on some milky genetics. She easily produced enough to earn her star at 179 days in milk and is currently going strong. I plan to take her to 305 days in milk. Here we go, Scout! For my 2024 verification test, Scout was 26 inches tall. Still producing 4.7 lbs of milk a day nearly 8 months in milk as a first freshener.

Peaked at 6.3 lbs 24 days in milk. Midway between 24-67 dim, she peaked unofficially at 7.2 lbs when I weighed her milk simulating a milk test at the midway point between tests. I shouldn’t have put off my test so long. She’s doing great anyway! I’ll be sure to catch her peaking in milk in 2025’s lactation.

RCornerRanch Peanut

Born third of Flora’s four. Peanut has far more Nubian-style ears. They touch her nostrils and are 3/4 drop ears. She has a roman/convex nose a bit too. Her daughters tend to have her Roman nose and longer ears. For my 2024 milk testing verification test, Peanut was 25 inches tall.
